Club Installation Rotaract Year 2017-18

Rotaract Club of Bangalore, R.T. Nagar did its club installation along with its parent Rotary Club's Meeting on 25th July, 2017 where the new board members took charge of the Rotaract R.T. Nagar for ongoing Rota Year 2017-18.

The installation started sharp at 7:45 pm, as scheduled. Chief Guest Rotaractor Bharti Mani (Co-Zonal Rotaract Representative 2017-18, Zone GA) and other dignitaries Rotarian Basavraju P Banakar (President 2017-18, Rotary R.T. Nagar), Rotarian Jayaramaih M V (Secretary 2017-18, Rotary R.T. Nagar), Rtn. Rajesh D Nayak (Youth Service Director 2017-18, Rotary R.T. Nagar) took the stage along the  with Rtr. Azeemulla Mohamed (Immediate Past President), Rtr. Yagya Gaire (Incoming President) and Rtr. Shishir Rijal (Incoming Secretary). The meeting witnessed the presence of Rotarians from parent Rotary club in good number. We could also see the presence of fellow Rotaractors from Rotaract Club of Bangalore West.

Rtr. Sagar Bashyal, the outgoing Secretary, took charge as the Master of Ceremony (MC) for the event and welcomed the guests and members and asked them to light the lamp to begin the formal installation of board members and new members of the Rotaract Club. 

Post lamp lighting ceremony, following series of events happened one after the other:
  • Rtr. Azeem briefed the audiences about his Rotaract journey as the President of the Rotaract R.T. Nagar for the term 2016-17 and thanked all members for their support. 
  • Rtr. Sagar briefed about the past projects undertaken during the term 2016-17. 
  • Rotary R.T. Nagar President, Rtn. Basavaraju P Banakar, installed the incoming president Rtr. Yagya Gaire
  • Rotary R.T. Nagar Secretary, Rtn. Jayaramaih M V, installed the incoming secretary Rtr. Shishir Rijal
  • Rtr. Yagya delivered his acceptance speech, seeking support from all the club members and Rotarians from the parent Rotary club. He briefed about few projects which he would love to take up during the year revolving round raising awareness about Rotary and Rotaract clubs and getting more people associated with Rotary. 
  • Dignitaries on the dias installed the other Board Members viz. Rtr. Dipendra Thebe as the Sergeant at Arms, Rtr. Suman Tiwari as Treasurer, Rtr. Sagar Bashyal as the Vice President, Rtr. Basudev Shrestha as the Joint-Secretary. 
  • Rtr. Sagar also welcomed the new members Rtr. Aayush D Nayak, Rtr. Sanath Rai and the dignitaries inducted and welcomed them to the Rotaract R.T. Nagar family. 
  • Chief Guest, Rtr. Bharti addressed the gathering expressing her gratitude and joy towards witnessing such a simple yet comprehensive club installation. She congratulated the new team for their successful terms and pledged to lend her support from the District 3190 to the club, whenever required. She also briefed about upcoming district events, urging club to participate in large numbers. 
  • Other dignitaries from parent Rotary club also addressed the gathering, all congratulating the new team, extending their support for the club and motivating the Rotaractors to come forth to serve the purpose of a Rotaract club.
As the clock ticked 8:40 pm, it was time for this wonderful moment to come to an conclusion and be imprinted in our hearts and mind as memories. Rtr Yagya, Rtr. Azeem and Rtr. Shishir distributed Tulasi plants as a token of appreciation to the dignitaries in the dias as well as few senior Rotarians for making available their time and support.

With the concluding remarks from Rtr. Yagya Gaire (President 2017-18), the meeting concluded at around 8:45 pm, little ahead of the scheduled time. District Rotaract Representative, Rtr. Naveen Senna, who had to attend installation of another club, also made it the venue post meeting. After congratulating the president Rtr. Yagya Gaire and other board members for their new terms, few group photos were taken and everyone went their way back home.
